Social lurkers

Most social network users are lurkers and consumers. They do not create content, but merely view. This creates a problem as producers are less than 3% and number is not increasing. Hope more people start adding to the pile instead of just taking away.

OK one way is to beta test for open source. Another way is to create more web pages. The world needs you.

Fewer marriages

Folks, there is now more economic crisis. There are fewer marriages. Birth rate is down in america. This is not good news. I hate to say this to you. Population is getting older and many do not have children of those who do marry.

Where see ahead is a pen war. Politicians play the blame game. They try problems to ignore. Children are our future and fewer are born now.

3rd depression

Paul Krugman say a third depression is near. He says we are in early stages right now. Well, he is right on. There is a coming depression or recession. Fact is nobody is seeing a recovery. Whip pit your spreadsheet run the numbers and see.

currency wars

People, run the numbers in your excel spreadsheet and you tell me. What we see is currency wars. Inflation will be massive. Things are going to get far worse. Expect soaring prices.

Scientists say we can bend time with a gravity time warp. This is interesting as we can imagine. There is a lot of heavy math involved and most of those calculation are beyond my excel spreadsheets power. Still, the time warp is a nice change of pace.

This should not come as any surprise. Most of us knew the ending to this movie. Please run the numbers in your excel spreadsheet and see. They had nearly a billion in debt, falling sales, technologically were behind the curve. It all adds up. Basically, it was a disaster recipe.

Older workers are part of a new poor. Sadly, many are seeing no end to our recession. They are not able to integrate into the new economy. Few of these new poor have the skills in demand now.

China is wanting to dump US treasuries now. Take a look at the gold price charts to see what is going on. It is a matter of when China dumps dollar, not when as we can see. Still, perhaps we can wish for a new window of opportunity for us. If US raises tariffs this could get us some money. Also, help create more jobs in america.

Diaspora facebook clone is open source. This is a great product and an excellent program. It is now available to you. Hope to try it out soon.

Gold new record high

Gold hits record high as dollar weakens against yen. Dollar hit a 15 year low against japanese yen due to our slowing economy. This is a good charting case. Take a look at our currency. Metals are getting more precious. Investors look for a safe haven of gold that is secure. Plan ahead now.

Let's a look at some charts on real estate prices. Please pay attention to miami. The average was $300,000 in 2005 - that was five years ago. Well, it is approx $150,000 now. People need to see. Real estate is not going up. Folks, this does not bode well for our economy.

summer is over

Maybe that is a good thing - for sure. This has to be the worst summer ever. For young people summer jobs hit a record dry spell and then some. It is hard to find a job if you are a young person. Hey, it is like every place wants lots of experience. Worst part is that many jobs are being out source.

Virtual Future

In the future, that box of software, may become an item in a museum. Basically, we see a virtual future for you. People will still fondly remember the old newspaper. For example, New York Times admits it will stop printing the gray lady in the days to come. This should not shock you. Fact is our world is becoming more virtual every day in every way.

apple mutant virus

Here it is from the boss at acer. He says apple is a mutant virus. GAAK! That is a bit harsh and makes no sense. Perhaps slow sales are making him angry.

Timer

Timer is a new movie. Love this sci-fi romcom. It is about a magical clock that tells you when you soul mate will appear. OK this has in it elements of magic. Hey, it is not related to excel at all so sorry. Hope to get back on track soon.

Neural Network for XL VBA

Tiberius Software has a free neural network in VBA for use in Excel. Check it out, it is $49 for the source. I think you get a lot of ideas look at other people's code, but that is just me.

sauna

Global warming is turning our planet into a sauna. It is getting a bit hot for me. Fact is if we plot the temperatures using Excel we get a graph going in an upward direction year after year. This is not what we want and that is the problem for us. It will soon feel like a sauna.

no summer XL jobs

There are no XL jobs this summer. Perhaps the good news is summer is over. That said, this year was the worst year for summer jobs ever. Youth employment hit a record low now. Fact is you can chart the numbers on excel and they look so grim. The trend is not your friend I say.

Here are some changes in Excel 2010, and it is a good idea to brush up. This tool keeps getting us more power. Microsoft is on a roll now.

penny wise

Spreadsheet help us keep track of expenses. Sadly, many people are penny wise. They want to cut costs and only incur more. XL is a great tool and far better than copies. OK so do not be penny wise and get one. I highly recommend getting one. However, soon distribution will be over wires. CD and DVD will disappear never to reappear. This is an HDRKID prediction that will come true soon.
