Crop losses
Right now we have lost approx 200,000 to 300,000 acres. That is a lot of crop. Planting corn is out of the question now. Yeah, even short season corn. Rich bottom land has been consumed by the river. OK maybe farmers can plant soy in june. However, forecast call for more rain. That means another lost year. This is affect prices in your grocery. Higher prices for corn means higher prices for milk and eggs.
